EVENT ABSTRACT

In this workshop we will look at various photographs, from different periods and artists, which may either be described as “tame” or as “mad,” to use Roland Barthes’ terms. Through discussion and hands-on activities we will explore the specific characteristics that make a photo “tame” or “mad” and we will then write texts inspired by photographs. No special skills or knowledge on photography is needed in order to participate in this workshop, only enthusiasm and willingness to take part in entertaining and educational activities.
