Dr. Smatie Yemenetzi-Malathouni teaches at the Department of American Literature and Civilization of the School of English, AUTH, Greece. She holds an M.A. in Literature (Kent State University, Kent, Ohio) and a Ph.D. in Early American Literature (Anne Bradstreet’s ‘The Grecian Monarchy’), AUTH, Greece. She teaches: Comparative Poetry (English Greek, American) Early American Literature (Puritanism - Rationalism) American Gothic Texts She researches in Cultural Studies with a particular interest in Early American Literature and Literature of Horror. Major Publications in the area of Early American Literature. Founding member of the HELAAS (Hellenic Association of American Studies) in Greece.
