This summer, Bald Theatre invites you to its production of:
“HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL”
Set in the late 1980s, seventeen-year-old Veronica Sawyer finds herself struggling with the challenges of teenage life. As she becomes involved with the Heathers, the most powerful clique at Westerberg High School, Veronica struggles to discover who she is and where she belongs in a complicated social environment. Her romance with the charming and mysterious J.D. (Jason Dean) sparks moral dilemmas and growing anxieties that threaten to destroy her mental well-being, their lives, and the school itself.
This dark comedy, inspired by Michael Lehmann's cult film Heathers (1988), written by Daniel Waters, was adapted into a musical by Kevin Murphy and Laurence O’Keefe and premiered Off-Broadway in 2014. Directed by Andy Fickman and choreographed by Marguerite Derricks, the musical became a cult classic on both Broadway and the West End and continues to enjoy success across the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Bald Theatre introduces it to Thessaloniki for the first time in just two performances, bringing the musical's unforgettable songs to life with new choreography and a cast of students that is sure to impress.
The performance is in English with Greek surtitles.
