The twenty-third HCA Spring Academy on American Culture, Economics, Geography, History, Literature, Politics, and Religion will be held from March 23-27, 2026. The Heidelberg Center for American Studies (HCA) invites applications for this annual one-week conference that provides twenty international Ph.D. students with the opportunity to present and discuss their Ph.D. projects.
In order to bring postgraduate students together and offer them a venue for extensive discussions, the HCA initiated the Spring Academy in 2004. The previous HCA Spring Academy conferences have effectively established an international network of young and aspiring researchers in different fields of American Studies.
