| Ο στόχος του έργου είναι να διερευνήσει τα κύρια γλωσσικά χαρακτηριστικά
των ομιλητών της Ελληνικής με άνοια ενσωματώνοντας στα πειραματικά δεδομένα
την κλινική εκτίμηση, τη νευροψυχολογική αξιολόγηση, την ανάλυση
νευροαπεικόνισης και την ανάλυση της γλωσσικής παραγωγής. Συγκεκριμένα,
εξετάζεται η λεξική, συντακτική και κειμενική πολυπλοκότητα στις αφηγήσεις
ομιλητών της ελληνικής: (α) νεαροί ενήλικες, (β) υγιείς ηλικιωμένοι, (γ)
άτομα προκλινικών σταδίων στο φάσμα της άνοιας τύπου Αλτσχάιμερ με
Υποκειμενική Νοητική Διαταραχή, (δ) άτομα με Ήπια Νοητική Διαταραχή και (ε)
άτομα με νόσο του Αλτσχάιμερ στα αρχικά στάδια. Η εξέταση του αφηγηματικού
λόγου σε ευρύ ηλικιακό φάσμα αποσκοπεί στον εντοπισμό των γλωσσικών δεικτών
που θα μπορούσαν να βοηθήσουν στην έγκαιρη διάγνωση της νόσου του Αλτσχάιμερ,
διευκολύνοντας έτσι την κλινική διαδικασία διάκρισης των ατόμων με Ήπια

| Στόχος της έρευνας είναι να αξιολογηθούν οι γνωστικές και γλωσσικές ικανότητες πρόωρων παιδιών μέσω της μεθόδου της ανίχνευσης της οφθαλμοκίνησης και να συσχετιστούν με τα αποτελέσματα της νευροαναπτυξιακής τους εκτίμησης. Αυτή η διεπιστημονική έρευνα στους χώρους της μνήμης, της γλώσσας και της νευροανάπτυξης στοχεύει στην αξιολόγηση ενός μη παρεμβατικού διαγνωστικού εργαλείου, του καταγραφέα οφθαλμικών κινήσεων (eye-tracker), ως μέσου για την εκτίμηση της ανάπτυξης των παιδιών αλλά και για την έγκυρη και έγκαιρη ανίχνευση νευροαναπτυξιακών διαταραχών σε πρόωρα παιδιά με σκοπό την πρώιμη παρέμβαση για τη βέλτιστη ανάπτυξη των νοητικών τους λειτουργιών. Ο πρώτος κύκλος εργασιών του έργου έχει ολοκληρωθεί με την συμμετοχή 118 παιδιών ηλικίας 10 μηνών. |

| Ο κύριος στόχος του έργου είναι να διερευνήσει τις γλωσσικές και τις γνωστικές δεξιότητες των δίγλωσσων παιδιών (με γλώσσες τα Αγγλικά, Γερμανικά, Αλβανικά και τα Ελληνικά) ηλικίας 8-12 ετών ανάλογα με τον τύπο του σχολείου στο οποίο φοιτούν (μονόγλωσσο ή δίγλωσσο) και το γλωσσικό μέσο (Αγγλική, Γερμανική, Αλβανική ή Ελληνική) το οποίο χρησιμοποιείται για να καλλιεργηθεί ο γραμματισμός των παιδιών στο σχολικό περιβάλλον. | This is an eye-tracking study on English as a second language of Greek speakers. The aim is to investigate the role of aspectual morphology in detecting local ambiguities when processing sentences in the second language. The preliminary results from this experiment have already been presented in two major international conferences (Boston University Conference on Language Development; Architecture and Mechanism of Language Processing). |

We tested a group of Slavic speakers who were exposed to Greek after immigrating to the country and without being exposed to structured Greek input. | In this project we investigate whether there are age effects in early child bilingualism. The main questions are: What is the optimal age at which exposure to a second language should take place? Does an early start always guarantee success? Are there other factors interacting with age which should be taken into account? We investigate the longitudinal development of three different groups of English-Greek bilinguals – bilingual first language (2L1) children, ‘early successive bilingual’ children and second language (L2) children. Our focus is the acquisition of voice morphology and transitivity alternations, and grammatical gender in Greek. Results of the study were presented in ISB7 (International Symposium on Bilingualism 7) in Utrecht, July 2009, DGfS (2010), Boston University Conference on Language Development (2010), Generative approaches to Second Language Acquisition (2010). |
