
Searching Printed and Electronic Sources available in the Aristotle University
This guide includes the electronic references (catalogues, union catalogues, indexes, bibliographic and
fulltext databases) available in the Aristotle University, which allow us to locate material (books, journals, articles
in books and journals, conference proceedings, published works, etc.) in libraries all over the world (academic, research,
national ones, etc)
Electronic References (Catalogues, Union Catalogues, Indexes)
- In a catalogue and in a union catalogue you will find:
- the bibliographic description of the items it contains,
- the location (library) where the items are held, as well as their classification number, so as to find them
on the selves.
- An index of journal articles and other material can be used to locate:
- articles on a subject of interest to you,
- articles by a specific author,
- a particular article based on its title,
- articles published in a particular journal, newspaper, conference, etc.
