MA in Teaching English as a Foreign Language

The MA in Teaching English as a Foreign Language aims to link theory and practice in language teaching, offering insights into issues raised in language learning theories and approaches as well as considering the implications for language teaching purposes. It is designed for those who have already gained some teaching experience and who would like to inform their practice with latest developments in the areas of Individual Differences in Second/Foreign Language Acquisition, Teaching English to Primary School Pupils, Measuring Second/Foreign Language Performance, Psycholinguistics: First Language Acquisition and Language Disorder (offered in the form of elective courses). The core component of the MA includes courses such as Linguistics for Educational Purposes, Second Language Acquisition, Learning and Teaching Foreign Language Skills and Research Methods in Applied Linguistics.

Applications for admittance to the Masters Degree Programme (MA) are accepted from April 1 to May 15 every two years.
