G-LUSD2 EnLit477 James Joyce: Ulysses

G-LUSD2 EnLit477 James Joyce: Ulysses

Elective | Teaching hours: 3 | Credits: 3 | ECTS: 6

Description

By shifting the reader's attention to the practices of writing and the materiality of language, James Joyce, in Ulysses, radically challenged the ideology of the subject, of representation and of established notions concerning reading and meaning. Ulysses will be read in the context of the modernist intervention in the institution of literature and the literary system.
