Τίτλος: Announcement Concerning Your Registration to Lit7-444 Creative Writing Workshop

For your registration to the course Lit 7-444 Creative Writing Workshop that will be taught in Spring 2017 you need to follow a different procedure.

The course is open to 4th and 3rd year undergraduate students. Erasmus students are welcome and encouraged to apply.

Due to its workshop nature, the course will accept only a very limited number of students. Also attendance in the course is compulsory with only a limited number of absences allowed (i.e. two).

Those interested in applying would need to submit the following documents:
Please submit all your documents to 308A by Thursday Feb 9th. An interview may follow. An email will be sent to students directly after the paper collection.

The course will  be taught by Steven Tagle (American writer and Fulbright grantee).

He is the recipient of a 2016 Asian American Writers' Workshop Margins Fellowship, a 2016-2017 Creative Writing Fulbright Grant to Greece, and a 2013 Soros Fellowship. He recently graduated from the UMass Amherst MFA Program, where he received the Harvey Swados Fiction Prize and the Deborah Slosberg Memorial Award in Fiction.

The course will place emphasis on the following theme: MYTHMAKING FOR OUR UNCERTAIN PRESENT

It’ll begin by analyzing American literary texts that approach and refresh Greek classical myths, then adapt their strategies for the students’ own creative practice. By re-imagining Greek myths, students will be guided to re-envision their position in the current world.

For questions, please email Dr. Tatiani Rapatzikou trapatz@enl.auth.gr.
